Fiery XJ - Canon 800 Digital Color Printing

The FIERY XJ is a PostScript RIP which turns our Canon 800 Color Laser Copier into a Full Color Laser Printer. It prints continuous tone images in CMYK mode at a true 400 dpi resolution up to 11" x 17" size.

Fiery prints are available either one-sided, or two-sided (full color one-side and black on the other or color both sides). We have a variety of Laser papers available, and also a light cover stock.

Virtually any PostScript file can be transmitted to the Fiery XJ - Canon 800. In addition, we can also print your document directly from:

Aldus PageMaker (Mac, IBM),
QuarkXpress (Mac),
Adobe Illustrator (Mac),
FreeHand (Mac)
PhotoShop (Mac, IBM).

Other files from IBM and Windows applications must be PostScript files (printed to file).

Several applications (such as Pagemaker) provide Fiery XJ - Canon 800 printer description files to be used with a PostScript Printer Driver to create color PostScript files. There are some links below to some of the more popular vendors. If you follow the link below for Fiery-XJ Resources, in the downloading area you need the Canon Printer Files for Mac (hqx) 91k. You do not need the utilities.

Off-The-Glass-Colour Copies

We also offer an off-the-glass colour printing service. Your black and white originals can be

colourized with spot colours
enlarged or reduced
centred or cropped
produced as overhead transparencies
and much more!

Your off-the-glass colour originals will be reproduced with excellent fidelity, and can also be modified and enhanced.
